The wedding part 16

"I did it", he texted her. "I asked for a divorce". She was with William. He was so sweet, he had arranged to make her dinner at her place, so he was cooking. She ignored the text for a couple of hours, till she received another one : "When can I see you?". William was now cleaning up. She texted back "I cannot tonight". "Is he there?" Leo asked about William. 

What did he want now? Congratulations?! She took the phone back in her hands and texted back "please don't contact me for few days". She wanted to give him some space. Or her? She was not sure. But she knew things take and need time. 

William hugged her from behind and they ended up having lukewarm sex in the bedroom.

However, she enjoyed the time with him very much. They could do all the normal things a couple can do. Go on dates, meet outside, watch a movie in a theater, spend actual time together. It had started wearing her off that she couldn't do all these things with Leo. All their meetings had to be short and secret, minus few getaways they had together. But his phone would always ring. Whether actual work or something with his wife. And if he was getting a divorce now, their meetings would have to be even more discreet. Maybe not so short anymore though, if he had to move out. But then again, the kids were in the middle. She didn't want kids of her own, but having kids from someone else? Could she do it? She was unsure.

Few days later Jessica and Leo met again. This time they got to enjoy a full movie at her place without the disturbance of his wife. Until her phone rang. She silenced it. 

- Who is this? Leo asked.

- William, she said sharply.

- Are you still seeing him?

- Yes. 

- I don't like that. 

- And I don't like the fact that I cannot have you fully mine. 

- Be patient baby, the time will come, I promise. The process should go smoothly, she agreed to give it to me. 

- I know... But the life's clock is ticking... and I m not sure about us.

- I am, he kissed her softly. I have something else to tell you. I got a job in Germany for a month. I am going there next week. It happened today and I totally forgot about it. 

- Congratulations, she smiled at him.
